The focus of the BRYC Elite Academy U13-U19 Composite & Elite groups follows the same player development “blueprint” as the ECNL groups. From a competition standpoint, the Composite and Elite teams compete at the D1 or D2 levels of the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). These teams also compete in the USYS National Championship and the US Club Soccer National Cup series.
The focus of the BRYC Elite Academy Bridge groups is on player and team development. These groups compete at the D2 to D6 levels of the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). Some of these teams compete in the USYS President’s Cup series.
The BRYC Elite Academy U13-U19 Competitive teams play two seasons, fall and spring, which make up one seasonal year. Additional opportunities for indoor play are available in the winter months, and players are encouraged to take advantage of those opportunities.
Teams are formed after players participate in formal evaluations led by BRYC Elite Academy Directors and Staff Coaches. All players interested in playing in the BRYC Elite Academy program must attend these evaluations each year.
Player attendance at all training sessions and games is expected in all aspects of the program.
