Weekly Update: June 27th Return to Play Protocols

June 27

Dear BRYC Elite Academy Families,

On June 23rd, our Governor announced that Northern Virginia has been cleared to enter Phase 3 effective July 1, 2020.  This represents another important milestone in our Return to Play Journey.  BRYC Elite Academy's observance of Phase 3 will go into effect on July 6, 2020.

Like every Phase in the RTP process, Phase 3 has specific requirements and guidelines for our club to follow to ensure the health and safety of our players, families, and staff.   While Phase 3 allows for limited team training, we are still required to maintain social distancing of at least 10 feet and physical contact is still NOT permitted.

For a complete listing of the Phase 3 guidelines please consult our RTP Protocols HERE.

BRYC Elite Academy continues to take the necessary precautions to ensure a safe return to play by following the recommendations of the CDC, the State of Virginia, Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) and the ECNL.  One of the more common questions we have received as of late is the club's quarantine policy after returning from out-of-state domestic travel.

Virginia's DOH currently does not have any quarantine requirements upon arrival from travel within the US.  Our strong recommendation is to quarantine for 14 days when returning from a state with a positive % test rate greater than or equal to 10% based on the state-by-state testing trends published by John Hopkins University HERE. We have amended our Parent and Player's Responsibilities document on our RTP Protocol page to include this recommendation.

From a logistics perspective, our Directors of Coaching will publish updated schedules and training grids for Phase 3 through the coaches and managers.

Please continue to enjoy this time with your family and stay safe.  We appreciate your continued patience and look forward to getting everyone back on the field.

Regards,
Mark Dolansky
